The theory of computation is beautiful.
I recently bought a book on the strength of just two paragraphs I happened to read and found inspirational: What Can Be Computed? A Practical Guide to the Theory of Computation by John MacCormick.Princeton University Press, 2018. The same book turns up again in It Doesn't Work in Theory, but It Is All Right in Practice.
